Hodge Podge Kid Stuff acquires inventory from a variety of sources. Many of the new items are handmade by work-at-home moms from the local area while others are bought at market or purchased wholesale. The majority of the used items come from suppliers just like you - moms, dads and grandparents with evergrowing kids! We are proud to be your resource for recycling all that wonderful kid stuff!
We have a few guidelines for bringing in your used kid stuff for Hodge Podge to purchase. First, please refer to our What We Need page for a detailed list of what we do and do not need. We buy only items that are new or in like-new condition. For clothing, this means current styles that are clean and ready to sell, with no fading, rips, tears, stains, odors, stretching, shrinking, missing pieces or significant wrinkling. We ask that you lay the items flat in a box or bin, no need for hangers, and we will return your containers to you when we pay you for your items. Electronics need to have working batteries and all toys and equipment should be clean and ready to sell. We will review your items and make you a cash offer, or we will pay you an additional 20% if used as store credit. Store credit never expires and can be cashed out at any time (although the 20% addition will be removed upon cashout). There is no minimum or maximum per item that we pay, offers are based on a conglomeration of factors and are not negotiable.
Safety is very important to us at Hodge Podge Kid Stuff. We verify that all items we purchase have not been recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) at the time of purchase and we proactively monitor the recall list for changes that affect our inventory. |
